The New Features of the 2023 Lexus UX
August 17 2022,
The 2023 Lexus UX arrives with a number of new features that make it more technological and safer than ever, while also allowing more choice in terms of appearance.
A new infotainment system
The 2023 Lexus UX is equipped with the new Lexus Interface infotainment system that was introduced in the 2022 NX. This new system integrates all of the latest technologies in terms of connectivity and convenience, which makes the new UX one of the most modern vehicles in its segment. One of the new features introduced by this system is the Intelligent Assistant, which makes life easier by allowing the driver or passengers to control many of the functions of the infotainment system and the climate control system simply by saying “Hey Lexus” followed by a command. In order to make this system even easier to use, it can understand regular speech patterns such as “I’m cold” or “I’m hungry”.
New ways to make it unique
The 2023 Lexus UX benefits from two new trim levels and a few new interior and exterior colour combinations that make it easier to personalize to every customer. With its distinctive mauve and Acorn interior, the new UX Elegance Special Edition will stand out from all of the other sub-compact crossovers, as will the also new F SPORT Design model which adds a mesh texture in the grille and new bumpers front and rear to give the UX a sportier look. The regular UX Premium and Luxury models add two new paint colors and a Palomino interior while the F SPORT models add six two-tone paints created by adding a black roof option.
More safety features than ever
The 2023 Lexus UX is safer than before due to the new advanced active safety features included in the Lexus Safety System +2.5 suite, which is now standard across the range. In addition to the all-speed range adaptive cruise control, LSS +2.5 includes the lane departure warning system that monitors the road markings and the edge of the paved surface in order to warn the driver when the vehicle is edging towards the shoulder or into oncoming traffic. If the driver doesn’t react, this system can also apply some force on the steering wheel in order to bring the UX back in its lane.
