2019 Lexus NX: Where Exceptional Value Meets Luxury
May 30 2019, Lexus Laval
If you are a discerning driver who wants the best value from a luxury SUV, then don’t look past the Lexus NX. It is Vincentric’s recipient of the Best Value in Canada award. However, let’s take a look at the highlights of the two available trims, the NX 300 and NX 300h, and you can decide.
The NX’s daring style and careful craftsmanship adds up to an exterior that stands out, and Lexus provides a rich amount of standard equipment in both trims. The alloy wheels are light and strong and will confront any road conditions with its all-season tires. The spoiler ensures minimum wind resistance at the rear window, and the front and rear splash guards protect body panels and the rear bumper.
You’ll be noticed in challenging road conditions and at night with the LED running lights, clearance lamps, and fog lamps. The optional Premium packages add more exterior accents and functionality.
Hybrid or gas, the 2019 Lexus NX has the power you need to go anywhere
The NX 300 has a gas-powered engine, and the NX 300h uses hybrid power. The 300 has a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that produces a hefty 235 hp. Its fuel consumption rating is a nice 8.5 l/100 km (highway), and you’ll have a peace of mind about its efficiency. A 6-speed automatic transmission provides smooth acceleration, and you can manually control it with the standard paddle shifters.
The 300h’s hybrid motors produce 194 horsepower and lower the fuel rating to 7.2/7.9 l/100 km (city/highway). Paired with the efficient CVT, the 300h shifts seamlessly while saving fuel.
Refined comfort and technology inside the 2019 Lexus NX
The interior of the NX is what you would expect from Lexus—luxurious and loaded with technology. Both trims have many standard features that will take a while to review, so we’ll highlight some here. Comforts include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power adjustable and heated front seats, and a fold-down rear seat.
Technology prevails with a backup camera, smart key/push button start, TFT instrumentation display, an 8” entertainment/navigation display screen, and much more. Both trims also have the Lexus Safety System with extensive monitoring.
