The 2021 Lexus GX gets V8 power
With a 301-horsepower 4.6-litre V8 delivers 329 lb-ft of torque, the Lexus GX is ready to tackle every type of terrain. This engine is mated to a six-speed super electronically controlled automatic transmission that is fitted with a gate-type shifter with manual shift.
For a day on the lake or a full weekend riding ATVs, the Lexus GX can tow up to 2,948 kg (6,500 lb) of anything you put behind it. It features automatic load leveling rear air suspension and trailer sway control brake system to ensure an easy tow everything you hit the road.
All GX models are up for the off-road challenge, but the Executive Package throws in specific items that gives it additional protection when venturing outside paved roads. It adds an enhanced five-stage crawl control system, multi-terrain select system, a transmission cooler and additional fuel tank armour for maximum protection.
The 2021 Lexus GX is all about comfort
Inside, engineers put everything in motion to provide ultimate comfort for the seven passengers. The three rows are fitted with a3-zone independent automatic climate control. Eight-way power adjustable front seats with driver’s seat memory system, make sure that the front occupants stay comfortable, while 40/20/40 folding second row seats maximizes passenger and cargo combinations. Plus, the 50/50 third row seats fold inside the floor to maximize cargo space.
The GX 460 gets its soundtrack thanks to a 17-speaker 330-watt 7.1-channel surround sound Mark Levinson audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. You can control it using the 8-inch infotainment screen, or the steering wheel-mounted controls. This system also features the voice-activated Lexus navigation system.
Finally, to keep your passengers safe and sound, the GX 460 is fitted with an array of safety systems, like the Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and front and rear clearance sonar systems and 10 airbags for protection.
