Advantages of owning a Lexus luxury vehicle
July 22 2020, Lexus Laval
Lexus manufactures some of the most reliable, highest quality, and most efficient luxury vehicles in the marketplace today. This has earned Lexus top awards in the automotive industry, finishing ahead of competitors such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche and others. Here, we discuss some proven advantages in purchasing a Lexus.
Lexus finishes at the top in reliability
The Lexus brand earned its reputation for quality and reliability early on and it has been focused on achieving the highest standards ever since.
Amazingly, seven Lexus models are featured in the top 10 of U.S. News and World Report’s 15 Most Reliable Luxury Cars in 2020. These include the 2020 LC, LS, ES Hybrid, GS, ES, IS, and RC models. If that isn’t enough, Lexus earned the top spot in J.D. Power’s 2019 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study, claiming the #1 spot for the eighth year in a row.
The Lexus GS midsize sedan, NX compact SUV, and GX are also listed in Consumer Report’s top 10 most reliable vehicles of 2020.
Lexus isn’t the priciest, despite its quality
As you shop and compare options in your favorite vehicle class(es), you will find that Lexus provides a greater value and offers a better price, in many cases.
For example, the Lexus IS starts at a more accessible price level when compared to the BMW 3 Series. The starting MSRP for the IS is around $41,250, and the 2020 BMW 3 Series starts at $49,350. Several IS models have a lower MSRP, including: IS 300 RWD, IS 300 AWD, IS 300 AWD Premium Package, IS 300 AWD Luxury Package, and IS 300 AWD F SPORT Series 1.
And the cost of owning a Lexus is inferior, partly because components that assemble them are more reliable, last much longer and cost less to replace, but also because Lexus vehicles are more efficient.
Lexus has some of the most efficient hybrids available
The new Lexus UX is a prime example of its success in producing efficient hybrid vehicles. The UX 250h AWD reduces subcompact SUV fuel consumption to 5.7/6.2 L/100 km (city/highway). Its direct competitor, the gas-powered Mercedes-Benz GLA, doesn’t come close with a 9.8/6.9 L/100 km rating. Lexus has more examples across different hybrid classes.
