Lexus Extra Care Protection: The Ultimate Peace of Mind

When you purchase a new Lexus vehicle, you're protected in an extraordinary way by a comprehensive warranty that offers even more than what customers expect. However, it is always possible to take the protection to another level, and that's what the Lexus Extra Care program does. There are six components to the program. Here's a brief overview.
1 - Trip Interruption Assistance
Whether you're away from home, or simply more than 80 km from home, if your Lexus breaks down, the ECP (Extra Care Protection) program will cover your hotel, meals and transportation costs up to $100 per day to a maximum of $300.
2 - Vehicle Rental Assistance
With your Lexus base warranty, you're covered for a rental car if your vehicle needs to stay at the dealership for an extended repair. As a bonus, the ECP adds $60 per day for up to 5 days to cover your travel expenses.
3 - Roadside Assistance
With your new Lexus vehicle, you receive four years of roadside assistance coverage. With the ECP program, coverage is extended to cover the term of your purchase or lease agreement with no mileage limit.
4 - Mechanical Protection
The mechanical protection clause is similar as it extends beyond the original 48 months/80,000 km to cover the period of your contract. Thus, if you have a 72-month agreement, your powertrain is protected during this period.
5 - Protection against road hazards
This is one of the most attractive coverages in the program, as it protects your tires from road damage for a period of 36 months/50,000 km, as long as you have not worn your tires to the point where they are no longer tread. Protection includes installation and balancing, as well.
6 - Trip Planning Service
Finally, an interesting and personalized tool is the travel planning service. By giving 10 days' notice to the Lexus experts and providing your travel itinerary, you'll receive a package including road maps, route options, points of interest to visit, accommodations, and a list of Lexus dealerships along your route. The service is available; it's up to you to take advantage of it.
