August 20 2020, Lexus Laval
The new 2021 Lexus ES will get all-wheel drive when it hits the market this fall. This is a first for the Lexus luxury sedan, which was redesigned in 2019. It’s not the only change to the 2021 Lexus ES, however.
A new Black Line Special Edition
In addition to receiving all-wheel drive in the 2021 Lexus ES 250 AWD, the Lexus ES 350 will be entitled to a new 2021 Black Line Special Edition version. The latter is based on the F Sport version of the ES range and offers two colors, either Ultrasonic Blue or Ultra White. The Lexus ES 350 Black Line Special Edition will have black exterior mirrors, dark F Sport wheels and a sporty black-colored rear trunk spoiler.
All-wheel drive in the Lexus ES 250 AWD
For the first time in its history, the Lexus ES will be offered with all-wheel drive in the 2021 Lexus ES 250 AWD model. We're talking about huge news here for the luxury sedan from Lexus, which was only offered with FWD before. The addition of all-wheel drive will allow the 2021 Lexus ES to tackle any weather conditions with confidence and perform just as well in winter as in summer.
All-wheel drive will be mated to a 2.5-liter engine developing 203 horsepower that consumes just 8.4 liters per 100 kilometers. It is the third engine in the lineup which also includes a powerful 3.5-liter V6 as well as a highly efficient hybrid engine.
Completely redesigned last year, the 2021 Lexus ES retains its legendary comfort that makes it one of the most comfortable cars on the market. That said, the 2019 redesign has allowed the new Lexus ES to deliver more interesting performance and a sporty feel that enhances the ride. Come learn more today!
