January 31 2019, Lexus Laval
The all-new 2019 Lexus UX has been a hot topic since its launch last year. Now entering its first full year on the market, the new 2019 Lexus UX has a lot to offer to those who want a fuel-efficient and agile compact SUV with a touch of sophistication.
Two engines for the 2019 Lexus UX
The 2019 Lexus UX is truly a unique SUV on the market. Starting at $ 37,100, the new UX is one of the most affordable luxury SUVs on the market. This does not prevent it, however, from offering a lot of equipment and many versions able to meet a variety of needs.
Despite its affordable starting price, the UX offers a lot of equipment. The UX features heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, push-button start and the Lexus Safety Sense + complete suite of active driver assistance technologies.
This group of active safety technologies includes adaptive cruise control, automatic braking with pedestrian detection and a lane departure prevention system.
Under the hood, the 2019 Lexus UX offers a full range of engines including an exclusive hybrid engine. With the new UX, we get a standard 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine developing 169 horsepower. This engine is particularly fuel-efficient with an average fuel consumption rating of only 8.0 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway.
That said, there is also a hybrid engine in the Lexus UX lineup. This powertrain offers the same four-cylinder engine, but with an electric motor and an Atkinson cycle. We get an average fuel consumption rating of less than 6.0 liters per 100 kilometers. The Lexus UX 250h hybrid is also equipped with AWD.
