What are the differences between the 2022 Lexus NX 350h and the 2022 Lexus RX 450h
February 25 2022,
The NX got a makeover last fall. So it's a new generation of this SUV that arrives this year and unsurprisingly, it's more complete than ever.
The first generation, offered since 2015, proved to be very popular. As a result, Lexus has improved the offering for this second go-round and there's plenty to choose from.
In fact, there are four variants on the menu. Let's take a look at two of them to see what makes them different.
NX 350h
The 350h is one of two hybrid variants of the model. It's powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is aided by an electric motor. The proposed power is 240 horsepower. Above all, fuel economy is on point with a rating of 5.7 L/100 km in the city and 6.4 L/100 km on the highway.
With this proposition, the equipment is complete, but not superfluous. However, you can add option packages by the ton to customize your experience. The choices include Premium, Luxury, Ultra-Luxury and Executive packages. And they're not sequential, in that right off the bat you can enjoy certain features (like ventilated seats) with the first package without having to select the more expensive ones.
NX 450h+
By choosing the 450h+ model, you're one step closer to oil independence. The reason? This model offers an all-electric range of 61 kilometers, which means that with frequent recharging and a lot of discipline, most of your trips will be made without the intervention of the gasoline engine, the same one that serves the 350h model.
More equipped from the start, this variant can also be upgraded with two option packages, Executive and F Sport Series 3.
Note that this version is eligible for the provincial rebate of $8,000 for the purchase of an electric vehicle (partially in this case).
It's up to you to decide on your preferences in terms of equipment and mechanical options, but either way, you're making an excellent selection.
And if you need to compare the two models, don't hesitate to drop by for a test drive. There's nothing like a hands-on comparison.
