Keeping Your Vehicle Interior Safe and Clean in a Few Easy Steps

Looking to make sure that your vehicle’s interior remains clean and bacteria-free in these troubled times? Here are a few tips that should be able to help.
It all starts with the quality of the cleaning product that you use. You want to make sure that you use a solution that has at least 70% alcohol in order to kill all the bacteria. According to a recent study from Consumer Reports, you don’t need to worry about damaging your interior materials even with that much alcohol in the cleaning product.
If you don’t have this type of product at hand, then you can at least make sure that you rub thoroughly with soap and water. Again, you won’t damage your vehicle’s interior and you will make sure that you killed whatever bacteria is in there. The only products that you want to avoid are bleach and hydrogen peroxide.
Next up, make sure you clean the most sensitive areas of the vehicle including the door handles, the steering wheel, the transmission lever, the armrest, the touchscreen, and the seat belt. These are the elements of the vehicle that you will touch the most often.
