Lexus once again stands out in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study

Lexus is used to receiving J.D. Power Dependability and Initial Quality Study awards. This year was no different with Lexus finishing fifth overall among all automakers in North America for the quality of its vehicles in the latest Initial Quality Study.
As part of the Initial Quality Study, J.D. Power examines the reliability and dependability of auto brands and vehicles over the first 90 days of ownership. Furthermore, this study offers an insight into the expected long-term reliability of different brands and vehicles.
Over 80,000 consumers answered 223 questions regarding their experience with a 2022 vehicle they had owned for three months for the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study in 2022. In order to calculate the average, the score is put over 100 vehicles to determine which vehicles have the lowest number of problems. By doing so, everyone is on an equal footing.
With just 157 problems per 100 vehicles, Lexus finished fifth overall in the study, ahead of many notable luxury brands including Acura, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
